You can experience with us the fundamentals unity of all existence in meetups, retreats, sacred dance workshops, guided meditations and (easy) yoga classes.
We are talking or thinking about philosophical and spiritual perspectives that emphasizes the fundamental unity of all existence. The main idea is that there is an ultimate reality or consciousness from which everything arises, and distinctions between self and other, subject and object, are ultimately not real. Here are some key aspects of our topics:
- Unity of Existence: At the deepest level of reality, there is no separation or division. It suggests that the apparent diversity and multiplicity of the world are manifestations of an underlying unity. This unity is often referred to by different names, such as Brahman in Hinduism, the Absolute in philosophical contexts.
- Transcending Duality: We challenge the conventional understanding of reality, which often involves thinking behaviors (such as good and bad, self and other) and encourage individuals to transcend these thinking patterns and recognize the underlying oneness that connects all things and beings.
- Recognition of the Self as Divine: Here is an emphasis on realizing the divine nature of the self. The individual self is considered not separate from the ultimate reality but rather an expression or manifestation of it. Realizing this divine nature involves transcending the ego and recognizing the true essence of one’s being by practicing meditation, whirling dances or just by thinking or talking about it.
- Direct Experience: It is not merely a conceptual philosophy but a path that encourages individuals to directly experience the oneness of existence through practices such as meditation, self-inquiry, whirling dance and mindfulness.
- Illusory Nature of the World: it is asserted that the world, as we commonly perceive it, is a kind of illusion and it doesn’t mean that the world doesn’t exist but that our ordinary perceptions and interpretations create a distorted view. Realizing the illusory nature of the world is central to understanding Oneness.
- Beyond Language and Concepts: Our thinking recognizes the limitations of language and concepts (regardless of gender) in describing the ultimate reality. The ultimate truth is often said to be ineffable and beyond the grasp of ordinary language. Words and concepts can only point toward the truth but not fully capture it.
In the thoughtless space everything is about recognizing and realizing the fundamental unity that underlies all of existence. It involves transcending ‘patterned thinking’, understanding the illusory nature of the world, and directly experiencing the oneness of consciousness or reality. This perspective is found in various spiritual traditions, including Advaita Vedanta, certain forms of Buddhism, Sufism, mystical aspects of Christianity, and other philosophical and contemplative traditions.
